Welcome
Few houses have a biography. This one was built in 1914 at a Naden Harbour cannery, floated down the coast on a raft of logs, and hauled to its corner of Masset by a pair of oxen. For a century since, it has collected owners, guests, books and stories the way its garden collects rain.
Today it belongs to the poet Susan Musgrave, who keeps it the way its guests love it: dripping with character, stacked with art and books, and warm against the weather. Come in out of the rain, sip a good cup of tea, and drift away in a book.
